Rose of Sharon

Mission

To seek and find women in the streets that have been destroyed by the enemy and bring them back into the fullness and understanding of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We also inform them about the recovery program that is offered to those in need through the Chicago Dream Center, letting them know that God has opened this door where they can come and begin to dream again.

To stand in the gap and touch the lives of women who are bound by drugs, alcoholism, depression, and homelessness and win them for the Kingdom, one by one.

What We Do

We evangelize on the streets of Chicago to reach those affected by addiction and human trafficking(click for more info). We purchase roses, tie ribbons around them with a Chicago Dream Center business card, and as we encounter each women, we bless them with a rose as we introduce Jesus, offer prayer and let them know about the Dream Center recovery program.

Prior to heading out to the streets, we meet in the prayer chapel for prayer, guidance and to prepare the roses that we’re going to pass out, then our ministry driver picks us up and as we drive to the location, we strive to stay focused at all times and in tune with the Holy Spirit, to seek and find and allow God to lead us. Once there, we begin to walk and as we encounter each women, we bless them with a rose, minister and offer prayer…It’s awesome, to God be the glory.

We invite you to be part of our evangelistic team; we meet Friday nights at 8:30 pm in the church chapel (2nd floor), which is located at 1734 N. California, Chicago, IL. We return to this address around 12:00 am.
